Hi everyone, my name is Lauren. I grew up in a small town in Northwestern Pennsylvania but am currently living and studying in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’m studying to become a clinical psychologist and am currently looking into graduate programs for mental health counseling. My overall goal is to be a Clinical Psychologist with a private practice. I’ve always enjoyed psychology and learning about the brain. I’ve also always enjoyed helping people. I think this is why I originally went to school to be a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I didn’t realize until I was done with my sophomore year in college that I didn’t want to be a nurse. Well… it’s not that I didn’t enjoy nursing, but that I enjoyed psychology even more. I’m currently a Registered Behavioral Therapist that uses ABA Therapy to help children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder while finishing out my bachelor’s degree. Throughout my life, I’ve gone through many unique experiences and learned a lot along the way. On this page, I hope to help others with some of the tough lessons I have learned and educate myself even more in the process. With any stories I write where I had to do some outside research, I will always link the sources at the end for those who want to learn more. I am always open to criticism as long as it is coupled with kindness!
